Notes The Pioneer is found in dry deciduous and scrub forests. It is a fast flier and follows and irregular path.
Identification

The Pioneer looks very similar to the Common Gull but can be distinguished by a distinct black hockey-stick like mark on its fore wing.

In the dry season form the underside is white and in the wet season it is yellow.
